1. Who we are
Bizy Websites ("we", "us", "our") designs, builds and maintains websites and related digital services for businesses in Cyprus. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the data controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. The personal data we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and provide our services:

We do not knowingly collect special-category data (health, race, political opinions, etc.) and ask that you do not send it to us.
3. How and why we use your data (lawful bases)
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote — on the basis of *taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract*.
- To deliver, host and support the services you engage us for — on the basis of *performance of a contract*.
- To remember your language/display preferences — on the basis of your *consent* or our *legitimate interest* in a working website.
- To improve our website and services, and for security — on the basis of our *legitimate interests*, balanced against your rights.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations — on the basis of *compliance with a legal obligation*.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.
4. Who we share it with (processors)
We use a small number of reputable service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements:
- Netlify, Inc. — website hosting and form submissions.
- Fasthosts Internet Ltd (fasthosts.co.uk) — email hosting for our contact@bizy.cy inbox.
- [Analytics provider, if enabled — e.g. a privacy-friendly analytics service].
- Third-party tools we set up for you at your request (e.g. Google Business Profile, TheFork booking widget, a WhatsApp chatbot) — these are governed by their own privacy policies, which we will identify to you.
We may also disclose data where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
5. International transfers
Some providers (e.g. Netlify) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become clients: up to [12] months, then deleted.
- Client records: for the duration of our engagement and for [6/7] years afterwards, to meet tax, accounting and legal-claim requirements.
- Support tickets: for the duration of our engagement plus [24] months.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; have it corrected; have it erased; restrict or object to its processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise any right, email contact@bizy.cy. We will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Cypriot supervisory authority: the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (Γραφείο Επιτρόπου Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα), www.dataprotection.gov.cy.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit and access controls on the systems we use. No online transmission is ever completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children
Our services are directed at businesses, not children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
